Dalziel FP (CAL) 3 - 1 Clark Drive

Dalziel safely negotiated this tricky Scottish Cup second round tie. Both teams started strongly, Dalziel hit the post from a Paul Connolly header after 10mins.

Clark Drive went ahead after 15mins when the referee judged that there had been a push in the box and awarded a penalty to the visitors, the penalty was easily converted. The visitors continued to work hard to maintain their lead, but right on the stroke of half time a superb move down the left hand side allowed the ball to be worked into the box, Scott Kyle latched onto the ball and stroked it into the net for the equaliser.

After an even opening to the second half Dalziel moved in front with a similar move for their first goal, again Scott Kyle was the scorer, following up after the visiting keeper had made a great save from his first shot.

Clark Drive stared to push more men forward in search of the equaliser, this resulted in Andy Sweeny pulling off a great save from a header to keep Dalziel in front.

The tie was sealed in the last few minutes when Graham Donaldson gathered a great pass from Craig McLeod and beat the Clark Drive keeper with a fine finish.
